In 2009 the police officials arrested Philip and his wife from the California. After their arrest, police investigated them and found out Jaycee Dugard. She told the officials that he kidnapped her and raped her.

He made her live in the tents behind his backyard and not only this, the kids were also kept there. All three of them were kept in worst condition without any education and medical treatment. In the beginning of the start of the case of the husband and wife claimed that they were guilty.

But in the last hearing on Thursday the whole court room was shocked when the couple claimed that they were not guilty. Previously he accepted the guilt but when his lawyer told him that if he accepted the crime he will put behind the bars and will remain there till his last breaths.

After hearing this, the couple may have realized the difficulties and the torture that may face behind the bars so they decided not to accept the guilt and started claiming that they were innocent and have not committed any wrong deed.

Jaycee remained missing for 18 long years. She was kidnapped from a bus stop of her school in California. In the year 2009 on 26 August Jaycee was found along with her two daughters. She gave birth to her two daughters during her kidnapped years. One of her daughters was 11 years old and the other one was 15 years old.

Jaycee spent more than 18 years of her life in a tent that was behind the house of her kidnapper. She was kidnapped by a man named Phillip Craig Garrido and his wife named Nancy Garrido. Phillip is 58 years old and his wife is 54 years old at present. When Duggard was kidnapped her step father and several other kids witnessed the crime. The first suspect of the crime was Jaycee’s biological father bust he managed to prove himself innocent. Media gave a lot of hype to this kidnapping.

Several NGOs came forward to assist the search of the 11 year old. The town was covered with pink colors as a reminder to everyone about the missing girl. Poster and flyers were distributed every where possible to assure that no stone was left unturned in the search of the little girl. Her kidnapper has been involved in numerous other crimes apart from her kidnapping.
